The BATFE is a government agency that regulates legal items. There is no legal cause to regulate legal items. These issues are best left to the states to chose handle as they each individually see fit. The Second Amendment states it very clearly; "Shall not be infringed". This gov agency does nothing but violate the 2nd as well as the 10th Amendments. It has no other purpose. It's very existance violates the United States Constitution. The fact that it has been in existance this long without a member of the federal government (this includes all of Congress as well as the President) petitioning or proposing legislation regarding the dissolution of the BATFE means that they are in violation of their oaths of office.
If you have to make cuts due to sequestration, start with the BATFE.
