I just read an article in TIME magazine about a young man serving a life sentence in prison for barely help in a drug deal. That is ridiculous when the time served for a violent crime or sexually oriented crime is a few months according to many legal websites.
Our legal system needs to reevaluate the length of time served for all types of crimes committed. I figure this was due to the never ending racial prejudice. However, this has not even been looked at much until President Obama proposed it to be.
The United States of America should have a much better judicial system. There should be much more standardized punishments, especially for smaller crimes that don't involve the extreme differences of peoples mental health.
