There is an open petition for nearly every state asking the Obama Administration to allow their state to secede from the union. The wording of these petitions are nearly identical, suggesting they may have been started by the same group. In all cases, a large percentage of those signing the petition do not reside in the state in question. In some cases, the creator of the petition does not reside in the state in question.
We, the undersigned, ask the Obama Administration to disregard any petition for secession that was not originated by a resident of the state in question and disregard any signature of any person who is not a resident of the state in question. Furthermore, given the serious nature of these petitions, we ask that the signature threshold be significantly raised.
