It is pointless for VP Biden to find common ground with NRA. They are the equivalent of The Tea Party -- extremists -- in this matter and are not open to reason.
We need to disregard NRA and impose tight laws on Gun Control that include:
1. Ban on automatic weapons and ammunition related to them.
2. Background checks for purchase.
3. Licensing of all fire arms in the 50 states and DC, Puerto Rico, Guam and Somoa.
We have lost Presidents (Lincoln and Kennedy) and lives of many have been crippled (Gaby Gifford, Brady, etc.), and in the last few years hordes of children, which is the last straw.
We need to do what every civilized society around the world has done. The only scourge we have today is the NRA and gun sales lobby.
