We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Disregard the proposed ban on the AR-15 rifle and protect our constitutional rights.

Created by C.D. on June 14, 2016

People often have the misconception that the 2nd Amendment is about self-defense and hunting. Well it is not. The 2nd Amendment was created as a means to keep our government in check. The founding fathers had to take up arms considered state-of-the-art for their time and realized that it was not a far-fetched idea that Americans might have to do it agian. We would not change the 1st Amendment because it is easier to express yourself and exercise your right to free speech with the advent of radio and television, so we should not apply that logic to firearms because the technology has improved. Therefore if the government has access to certain weapons so should the civilian populous. "Those who give up liberty for security deserve neither."- Benjamin Franklin
