The California Republic is the largest republic within the Union by population. If California were to stand alone, it would be the 8th largest economy in the world. The technological prowess of Californians is matched only by our progressive attitudes and excepting ways. A unique culture has developed within California that does not see eye-to-eye with American society at large. Currently the California Republic, similar to the Federal Government, is in dire financial straights. As the largest economy in the Union, our tax dollars are the glue holding together the battered American economy, and all the while California languishes in a crippling deficit. Unless California is sovereign, our capital will keep leaking out of our borders to be diffused across 50 states, continuing the neglect.
