We, the people, feel that it is in our best interests for Comcast Corporation to be dissolved on the grounds that capitalism cannot function properly when monopolies exist.
Currently, Comcast is working out a deal to purchase TWC. Comcast would become nearly 40% of the nation’s ISP (NYTimes). America’s ability to progress both culturally, and scientifically is being artificially stagnated by the poor and shoddy services provided to us. Even large corporations like Netflix are being extorted by Comcast (CNET).
Mr. President, you have said that you would uphold the principles of Net Neutrality because you believed the internet was a wonderful place, given the inherent equality that exists there (Reuters). That equality has been threatened by Comcast for too long. It is time to take action.
