The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has grown beyond the control of the federal government and overreached its original mission.
In America, a citizen is more likely to die at the hands of a police officer than a terrorist. Violent crime is at an all-time low. Our defense spending is at illogical levels - a 50% cut would still leave us with the world's most powerful military. These are not wishful sentiments, they are facts.
The DHS continues to suck valuable resources from our government, spread fear and paranoia across the land, and violate civil liberties with impunity because of overinflated budgets and egos.
Mister President, dissolve the DHS NOW and stop the country from spinning into a complete security state.
