Many Americans believe their vote doesn't count. And that is very true if you are a democrat in a predominately republican state or republican in a predominately democratic state. Every other election is based on the majority EXCEPT the President, which is based on the electoral college. The President of the United States should be based on the majority voice of the citizens, not the 270 votes for "winning" states.
If the electoral college is dissolved more people will think about their vote and people will believe their vote will count, instead of thinking their vote doesn't count.
