Dissolve the Electoral college and let the popular vote decide who should be elected president.

Created by A.J. on November 15, 2012

The original point of the electoral college was so that territories whose people could not vote as well as those is states could still have a say in who become president. Since practically all of the US are now states, this system is therefore pointless. Furthermore, in the electoral system, the canidate that receives the most votes of a state gets all of that states' votes. All the votes that were for the other canidate don't even matter practically. If one canidate receives 50% of a states' votes and the other receives 49%, all the electoral votes would go to the canidate that got 50% and the other votes wouldn't even count, since its the electoral college that matters. There is something seriousely wrong here!
