The utilization of the electoral college in determining the winning candidate for presidency is antiquated, ineffective, and unjust to the American people. Citizens of the United States deserve the right to be directly responsible for the election of their desired candidate, and it must be the duty of the candidate to make themselves accessable to the people of the whole nation, not only pivotal states with high electoral persuasion.
We call upon Congress to abolish and dissolve the electoral college for future elections and in doing so create a political system more true to the ideals of the Constitution; a government for the people, by the people.
