The federal prisons are overflowing with people who were convicted on just knowing someone, being in the presence of someone or who really did not even know a drug dealer personally. This war on drugs is nothing more than a war on the black community. Low level drug offenders get more time that murderers, rapists, or pedophiles. This practice have seperated and destroyed families for generations after generations. Drug cases should be handled by the States and it should not be racially motivated as it is now. I'm not advocating the use of drugs, but the system as it stands must be changed. White collar crimes which causes thousands and millions of dollars to the taxpayers get a slap on the wrist compared to small time drug dealers.
