The Electoral College is a baseless, outdated system that is only hurting America. Invented in the late 1700s as a way to combat "mob rule" (and more likely to prevent women, minorities or immigrants from having their say), it is not needed. This 2016 election and past elections (ex: 2000) have shown that presidents elected via the popular vote can still lose to a candidate elected by the Electoral College. Americans deserve One Person, One Vote, not to vote indirectly. Americans deserve to choose their President, not to be subjected to the mercy of an Elector (who can choose to vote either way, no matter what his/her state constituents chose). Without it we are not a true democracy.
Please dissolve the Electoral College and give all Americans the right to choose their President fairly!
