Political Parties have been a large aspect of American Government for quite some time, but in the end, it has resulted in gridlock. Congress and the White House are split on issues. Instead of representing the ones they serve, the ones who vote for them, the ones who fund their campaigns, they ignore them and mostly listen to what their party has to say. Having a large group of people set on one set of beliefs can prove to be catastrophic. Every decade or so, we flip-flop back and forth between being the Majority and Minority, and as a result, one party can get their way and shape up our government as we know it today. It's time to stop listening to our party and listen to the Citizens. Political parties need to be broken up before it proves to be an even bigger problem later on.
