In current times political parties no longer have the best intentions for the country in mind. Each politician does not think what is the best way they can help the country but what can they do to help their party. If an issue comes up in the government and can really help the country it may be shot down because the party that brought the issue up does not have control of the legislate at that time.
Therefore political parties should be dissolve and politicians that are elected who have the country first, not a political party.
