The constitution declares "the right of The People to keep and bear Arms", and this petition does nothing to change that. This petition proposes that the Federal Government will be the sole distributor of AMMUNITION for firearms, and additionally control any equipment and components involved in the creation of ammunition. The Federal Government will be responsible for determining the mental health of any consumer attempting to purchase ammunition, will maintain a database of ammunition purchases, and any ammunition sold would be traceable to the purchaser. All ammunition purchases are required to be made in-person (through a local police department), and fingerprinting is a requirement. Obtaining ammunition outside this program is punishable by mandatory prison plus fine.
