Roads, bridges and ports are key logistical infrastructure elements, vital for our National Security. Our National Security is threatened by high unemployment as well as the deplorable status of thousands of miles of roads, major bridges and ports.
Our petition recognizes and addresses these critical deficiencies by requesting that 2 % of the Fiscal 2012 Defense and Homeland Security budgets be diverted to repair and improvement of roads, bridges and ports.
Moreover, we request that a comparable amount be added to the Fiscal 2013 & 2014 Defense and Homeland Security budgets to enable improvements to roads, bridges, ports and broadband fiber & wireless communications systems.
