America's infrastructure (highways, bridges, railways, power grid, etc.) are in an embarassing state of disrepair and absurdly outdated when compared to most other developed nations. This petition seeks not to reduce the defense budget of the United States, but instead to include the maintainance and updating of America's infrascructure as a matter of national defense.
Considerations should include:
America's infrastructure and economy as major defense priorities.
The ability to create jobs by investing in American infrastrucure.
Shifting dependence on fossil fuels to US based green energy.
Nuclear disarmament of the US as a way of recouping wasted funds, and a symbol to the world of our national will for peace.
