Divert federal resources from being used against non-violent drug offenders to enforcing gun laws currently on the books

Created by J.C. on January 19, 2013

Most everyone on both sides of the gun rights debate agrees that we don't want guns to be in the hands of criminals. According to Vice President Biden, even though people with known felony records attempt to acquire firearms thousands of times every year from licensed dealers, they are not investigated or charged with a felony offense for doing so after their background check is run.

Felons attempting to acquire firearms seems a much greater cause for concern in society than NON-violent drug offenders. If the problem, as Vice President Biden claimed, is a lack of resources, then please divert the resources currently being used to enforce laws against non-violent drug offenders to being used to enforce the gun laws that are already on the books.

Please Mr. President, try very hard.
