I propose diverting $200 billion from Department of Defense spending to NASA. NASA's entire budget from 1958-2011 was less than military spending in 2011 alone. These cuts should not come from Veterans Services, rather they should come from funds spent on new weapons systems like the F-35. The United States once led the 'space race' - now we are being left behind. We must be scientifically competitive with the rest of the world.
