So many pundits point to China's rise to become the world's largest economy as inevitable. It will happen if we continue to do nothing. China is not a democracy. Chinese leaders have a history of abusing their citizens when their power is threatened. China's leaders will continue to lie about their massive cyber attacks until the US economy weakens further. In short, let's take our international business elsewhere.
I petition our government to strongly encourage US companies that do business in China to divest from that autocracy, and to invest in Mexico. Mexico shares our border and has a large educated labor force. It would be far better to have Mexico make the products we want and are too expensive to produce in the US. Mexico, for all of its faults, is a democracy. China is not.
