Divide California Into a Northern and Southern State

Created by K.M. on November 13, 2012

We ask that the government consider an option allowing voters to determine whether a two state system in California would better represent regional interests, that while the state as a whole does share some similarities on higher political issues (and which isn't uncommon along the Pacific Coast) the Northern and Southern portions continue to sustain a long term cultural dissimilarity concerning lifestyles, industry focuses, political approaches, and regional identities based around two primary international trading metropolitan areas, and differing terrain influences. We believe this is more indicative of bordering states than a single entity.
