Divide California

Divide California into 3 states, Southern California, the Northern Coast, and the Central Valley (see map: http://3cals.phrelin.com/).
These 3 areas are already larger than most other states both physically and population wise.
The areas also have little in common (economically, socially, and politically) so 3 states would let them pursue their own interests.
Socially each area has different focuses (Central Valley- Agriculture, Southern California- tourism, Northern Coast - Technology)
Politically, the Government of California is already by far the worst in the nation, so the governments would be reformed.
Also the people would be better represented during elections (Central- Republican, North and South Democrat)
