The views, beliefs, and lifestyles of East Washington and Central/West Washington are extremely diverse—we are practically two separate states already. Regarding the amount of electoral votes for items such as legal marijuana and gay marriage, most of these votes came from the Seattle area in East Washington; hardly anyone in Central/West Washington wanted either of these. The votes of the Central/West Washington population have little or no effect upon the outcome of these initiatives, our own governor, or the President of the United States. The state is already divided by geography, let's divide it the rest of the way.
