do any and everything it possibly can to eliminate federal state and local sales taxes on most consumer goods.

Created by J.H. on October 18, 2011

With the exceptions of alcohol, tobacco, firearms. gasoline, and, ammunition, no consumer good should be taxed upon it's purchase by any level of government, nor should there be any sales taxes upon services rendered. Sales tax is the most inequitable form of taxation as the lower a person's income and net worth is, the greater is the impact of that tax as a percentage of that person's income and net worth. Therefore as a means of increasing revenue it only serves to place a disproportionate burden upon the people that can least afford it.
