Daylight Savings Time complicates and disrupts timekeeping and scheduling, meeting and appointment times, travel arrangements, billing, recordkeeping, medical devices, heavy equipment and sleep patterns. While software can sometimes adjust computer clocks automatically, this is limited and error-prone, particularly when DST protocols are changed.
The act of changing clocks twice a year is economically and socially disruptive, a nuisance and cancels out any benefit it may have once had.
