Do away with the Electoral College and election outcomes be determined by the popular vote.

I believe we should do away with the electoral college way of processing votes and base election outcomes on the popular vote. As Americans we want out vote to count for what it is. Using the electoral college to determine the winner is a system that is insulting to the american peoples right to vote and designed in a way that can easily abused. I believe it is in place to leave the final control of the outcome in other peoples hands rather then the collective american voters.
