The caucus is an outdated system that was born out of media attention. There is far too much room for human error and peer pressure, thus ending up in muddy results. A state can choose it's primary election method. Even deeper, the different political parties in that state have options on how to hold their primary. Yes, that means you can choose to literally count heads on opposite sides of the room to come to a vote. That may have worked when town populations weren't over 500 people, but there is no reason that should be a method today.
A primary election works the same way as any other election; You secretly cast a ballot for your chosen candidate.
Primary states get overlooked, caucus states get media coverage. Let's become one. We are united, right?
