Do away with the regulations of the FMCSA and its new CSA BASIC system that is hurting the small trucking companies.

Created by S.M. on November 14, 2012

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's new rules in the CSA BASIC system are killing the small trucking companies and owner operators in this country.

As an owner of a small company that has been in business for only 15 months, and owns 6 trucks, all of them used (you have to start somewhere) we are being killed by these motor carrier enforcement officers out there who just want to write you up for everything. We received a $130.00 fine for having low tire pressure. WHAT. REALLY. Come on.....Our vehicle maintenance score is now 90 % and we can't get loads with brokers because of it, even though we repaired each and everything that we have ever been written up for, it stays on our record for two years. We are going to go out of business because of this. DUMB.
