I love the US and wish it were still the place the world would look up to, but it isn't. I work for the US Government overseas, and see first hand how the rest of the world views the US today. The current government system is outdated and defeats the purpose of having a government in the first place. Do away with the 2 party system and let the public vote for the REAL best candidate. Having to vote down Party lines has no place in the modern world. No matter who was president over the last 4 years, the Republican Congress was not going to approve anything the Democrat president proposed. If a Republican was president and Congress was a Democrat majority, it would be the same thing. Only the US public, and reputation suffer from having this antiquated system.
