Do everything in its power to save NASA from future budget cuts

Space travel and eventually colonization are necessary if we as a species are to survive. Any number of natural disasters, such as an eruption of the overdue supervolcano underneath Yellowstone, could wipe us out. Apart from leading humanity's efforts to explore and learn about our universe, NASA serves many functions on our home planet that continue to benefit us right now. For example, the LCD/LED screen of the device you are using right now was a product of NASA's research. We CANNOT allow an already underfunded NASA to suffer further cuts. Short sighted politicians refuse to recognize the frailty of this planet and our existence and this shows in the policies they put into effect.
