Do Everything Possible To Facilitate Expansion Of The Vertical Farming Industry By Aiding New Infrastructure Projects.

Created by R.C. on March 07, 2014

Our current agricultural system is unsustainable. The billions given yearly in crop insurance and farm subsidies are unsustainable. Expansive land use and the tremendous amounts of water agriculture uses are unsustainable. Vertical farming is the solution. This method uses up to 95% less water than traditional agriculture, it will conserve land, it will create green jobs, and being indoors makes it pesticide free. The problem is construction costs make it difficult for vertical farming to become cost effective. Governmental infrastructure assistance will raise private investor confidence in this industry and stimulate private sector growth. We petition this administration to do everything possible to advance vertical farming by aiding in building new infrastructure and renovation projects.
