I am writing today as a concerned, proud, U.S. Citizen and a former Russian orphan. If Mr. Putin signs his bill banning U.S. Adoptions into law, those children will most likely end up in the Russian military, and will be barred from ever having the freedoms so many of the estimated 740,000 children dream of. I remind you that out of 60,000 successful cases of Russian adoption, 19 have gone bad. We should not cage these children up because of 19 bad cases. I am more than willing to share my incredibly successful story with those who ask. As an immigrant, I am one of the most patriotic and involved people you will ever meet, and we must realize immigration is what built this country's foundation. Please help these children have the opportunity to taste the freedom we all enjoy every day.
