Do A Favor For The Community That Always Welcomes Him Back

Created by S.P. on March 08, 2013

President Obama has a home apart from D.C. and it's the Hyde Park/Kenwood area of Chicago. Nestled along the Midway Plaisance is the world class institution where he taught 12 years: The University of Chicago. When Mr. Obama decides to drop in for the weekend the entire neighborhood grinds to a screeching halt. We all understand that sometimes you need to get your Valois fix and we can't blame you for that. However, why on the list of commencement speeches that President Obama has made do I see that he hasn't spoken at UChicago since 2005? We remember his speech on the Midway--I especially do because I'm still bitter that no one came to my Halloween party as a result--and, we may not always agree but, Mr. President, you definitely owe UChicago a convocation speech in the near future.
