Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. James Earl Ray was captured, put on trial and convicted for the crime. However, after having visited Ray in prison, the King family came away convinced he was not the assassin. They proceeded to file a civil suit in 1999. After a lengthy trial and several individuals taking the witness stand, the jury came back with a verdict that Dr. King was the victim of "a conspiracy by agencies of the United States Government to have him assassinated." Therefore, we are seeking the support of all believers in justice to join us in making our effort a success. We petition President Obama to instruct U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to establish a "special grand jury" to do a full investigation.
