Do More than Extend Sanctions Against the Government of Sudan: End Genocides in Darfur, Nuba Mountains, and Blue Nile

Created by K.H. on February 01, 2016

We, the People of the United States of America, applaud U.S. President Obama’s decision on 28 October 2015 to extend the economic sanctions against Sudan for another year, effective as of 3 November 2015. We do not support the Government of Sudan's attempt to lift the U.S. Sanctions against Sudan.

We implore President Obama and his administration to act boldly, by holding the Government of Sudan responsible for the genocides in Darfur, the Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan, and the Blue Nile state. We must stop Sudan’s President Bashir from exterminating all of the marginalized peoples, his people, living in Sudan.

Innocent civilians should be protected by the international community when their own government is scorching them from the earth. When the U.N. fails, the U.S. should lead.
