Do more to get rid of bullying of all types in all schools by making it illegal and punishable by law

I am a half caucasian, half asian american freshman at my local high school. The past 3 years at my middle school, I was bullied. I didn't go to any average middle school. I went to a magnet school: The Charleston County School of the Arts. As a victim of bullying, I went first to the guidance counselor, and when they did the minimal to stop it, my parents and I went to the principal. He did nothing about it either. 99% of the bullying was racial to me. One kid called me racial slurs, another called me a 'mutt'. If the administration did anything to help me, than I wouldn't be writing this. At the Academic Magnet, which is on the same campus, a kid was bullied so much he killed himself on campus. So help make bullying illegal because what if it is your kid that's the victim.
