Myron Ebell has said "the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets are probably thickening rather than melting," and proposes that the U.S. increase carbon emissions by 16%. 97% of scientists agree that this is not the case. An increase in carbon would ruin our atmosphere and our oceans. Oceans absorb 1/3 of the carbon that we release into our atmosphere and as this amount increases, acidification destroys marine habitats. This will greatly increase sea level rise and has the potential to collapse our fishing economy. By appointing Myron Ebell, or any climate denier for that matter, to lead the EPA, we are setting ourselves up for utter destruction of our planet and economy.
