If a person is under federal investigation then it is morally and ethically wrong to allow that person to run for the office of President as it could possibly create a conflict of interest. If elected that person could potentially use their influence to make the pending charges disappear and clear their name without ever having the truths of the matter brought to light, whether the ruling is favorable or otherwise. That being said, should that person still aspire to be President, they should be allowed to run during a subsequent election when they are no longer under investigation and have been cleared of the charges against them.
