The tragic incidents involving deranged people killing others in mass can not be used as reasons for war on our civil liberties.
It should be recognized that those responsible for these tragedies are criminals. Time and time again, it has be proven that laws will be broken by people who are looking to harm others.This is what makes them criminals. Making laws that restrict the liberties of those exercising their rights within the law, will not stop those willing to break said laws.
We must protect our rights, not trade them for the facade of safety.
