Right now, the internet has very little regulation. Almost anyone from any country can talk to anyone else from any other country, and practically for free. This allows everyone's voices to be heard and has lead to some of the greatest innovation ever to occur. Additionally, it has lead to global inter-connectivity, allowing people around the world to work and innovate together.
In the final week of November, the United Nations will consider regulating the internet. While their intentions may seem pure, their policies will establish ways for countries to tax the internet. This is concerning because this power could easily be misused.
