We call upon the President of the United States to keep the S. 1867 bill from passing or veto it if it does. This bill includes under section 1031 the 'worldwide indefinite detention without charge or trial' which violates our rights to be considered innocent until proven guilty and jury trial.
Given that the Department of Homeland Security has characterized behavior such as buying gold, owning guns, using a watch or binoculars, donating to charity, using the telephone or email to find information, using cash, and all manner of mundane behaviors as potential indicators of domestic terrorism, such a provision would be wide open to abuse.
This would also be considered an act of treason and we feel that all senators voting for this bill should be forced to resign charged with such!
