We the undersigned residents of Metropolitan Boston cities and towns have been made aware of the discussion surrounding the Ash Monofill in Saugus, MA. We have read with skepticism some of the things opponents have said regarding the negative impacts to our health and the environment. We have signed this Petition to state to the Department of Environmental Protection and other regulators that we trust the process that has been established to regulate these facilities and recognize that if there were any veracity to the statements made by those wishing to see the landfill closed, the state would have taken action. We urge you to continue to make your decisions regarding this landfill on scientific facts and data rather than the politics of an outspoken group.
