Please do not appoint Larry Summers Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
First and foremost, Larry Summers has a bad track record on regulating banks - he was instrumental in de-regulating banks.
While president of Harvard University, he said women are not as innately intelligent in math and sciences. This statement cemented stereotypes and may well have discouraged current and future women from these fields. It may well have emboldened other people using these stereotypes to discourage women from the sciences.
Mr. Summers has also been accused of not being willing to listen to the dissenting viewpoints of women. Larry Summers is clearly a misogynist and a bully and as such should not be allowed to hold this position, which would give him clear opportunity to discriminate against women.
