Do not attempt to control weapons by making them illegal. Control weapons through education.

The 2nd Amendment, states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." It is our right, as citizens, to possess firearms to protect ourselves, our families, and the welfare of the United States of America. An inanimate object is unable to commit murder. Further restriction of firearms will not decrease the rate of crime or murder. Statistically, crimes are committed with a firearm that was obtained “illegally”. We propose gun control via education, a federally regulated firearms education course, be required before a person is allowed to possess or purchase a firearm and/or ammo. The purpose of this course would be to educate people on the proper handling and security of a firearm.
