Do not abolish the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution. While banning firearms will not allow law-abiding citizens to purchase or own any gun, criminals will proceed to use the Black Market or other illegal means of obtaining firearms, leaving the law abiding citizens helpless if there is no time for police interference. The security and protection of our citizens should be encouraged, and police do not always have the ability to arrive in a life or death situation. This leaves the victim to have two choices: Defend their loved ones(often with a gun), or die. A good citizen would never kill anyone with a gun, but a criminal will get any way they can.
