Do not deactivate the 506th infantry!

I'm a former soldier from 1st Battalion 506th Infantry 101st Airborne Division. I'm creating this petition to stop the deactivation of arguably the most famous unit from World War 2. The world knows about the "Band of Brothers". We were reactivated to go to Ar Ramadi, Iraq, which at the time was the most deadliest place in the world. The rest of the brigade locked down Baghdad. We were told we would only be in Ramadi for a couple months due to the hardship we had there. Our unit was almost combat infective on paper, but we sill fought hard everyday, and stayed the whole time in Ramadi. From D-Day to Vietnam, to Iraq, and Afghanistan, this unit has made history books. I know cuts to spending need made, but I think we should preserve our history. Curahee!
