Do NOT fast track authority to Pres. Obama to signTrans-Pacific Partnership agreement prior to congressional approval.

Created by A.S. on January 14, 2014

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is the most significant free-trade agreement in recent history, and some have called it "NAFTA on steroids" as its scope currently includes 12 countries. Yet, the Obama administration refuses to make the negotiations more transparent. The only congressional involvement so far has been the White House request for congressional approval to grant "fast track" authority to President Obama to sign the TPP prior to any congressional review. If Congress grants fast track authority, debate would be limited and no amendments would be allowed. We the people and our elected legislators must be able to vet the TPP for its vast economic impact on jobs. Otherwise, TPP is another corporate welfare scheme. Contact your representatives with NO on fast-tracking TPP.
