The administration passed a law that will forgive student loans after 20 years of paying 15% of the graduate's "discretionary income" Sounds nice? I bet they will score a lot of votes from students expecting an easy ride!
This will cost billions of $ that the country does not have! Especially when you allow people to pay with only their extra $. When you have a bill to pay that is not the definition of discretionary. Government subsidys such as these are the reason college costs are so high in the 1st place. Now is NOT the time for that. The answers simple SAVE for college. It is NOT a necessity to succeed right out of high school. This is also unfair for people who HAVE gone to college and worked hard to pay it back. This expensive, irresponsible, political decision must be repealed!
