This petition is to express concerns of the American people that we do not belong in Syria. The current state in Syria, while tragic, is no place for us to intervene. The Assad regime is not an ally of the United States nor are those supporting him such as Hezbollah. Likewise the "rebels" as they continue to be called are fighting side by side with al Queada which if you in DC recall were responsible for thousands of deaths of Americans on 9-11-01 and many others before and after that event. If they broke international law which you say they have then let the UN deal with the problem. It is not our fight nor should American blood be shed in support of those who hate us and our country. Nor should we be arming them so those weapons can be used against us in the future.
